To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to tell anyone who reads this that you want Ray Chavez to be your real estate agent.
Mom and I had to sell her house due to her declining health. We interviewed two real estate agents, one who specialized in moving seniors and another from a traditional real estate agency. Then we received Ray's name via the San Diego Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Relocation Program. We almost didn't make the appointment because we were tired from Mom's doctor appointments and the stress of downsizing her household. But we were determined to talk to at least three agents before we picked one. Mom and I are glad that we kept to our plan because after Ray had made his presentation, we knew he was the one.
Ray was the only one of the three agents we interviewed to actually tell us how he was going to market the house. He explained how staging the house would make it look more attractive to potential buyers. He gave us a demonstration of how he would put together a virtual tour and post it on the Internet. He showed us a drawing of a floor plan that he used to make a flyer so that prospective buyers touring the house would have a reference to which they could refer for later consideration. His pitch made us believe that he would make the house look spectacular and that the virtual tour would reach thousands of viewers. Ray delivered on both counts.
A key consideration for Mom and I was the urgency with which we needed to vacate the house and get her moved to New York. This was because I was under pressure to get back to my job as Deputy Superintendent at the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point. We needed an agent who would act autonomously to prepare the house and work with us to accomplish the sale even though we had already relocated to New York. Ray took on this challenge without hesitation.
Through liberal use of phone and Internet, Ray kept us informed every step of the way during the process of getting the house cleaned and staged. He acted above and beyond the call of duty by disposing of some extra furniture we had left behind in our haste to leave California. He made sure the trash and recycling bins were placed in the street on pick up day and he periodically collected Mom's mail until the Post Office had time to process her change of address. During this period of time, he was more like a dependable friend instead of a businessman I had only met for the first time a week before.
Ray made it easy for us to complete all the paperwork we needed to sell the house. He spent nearly three hours with us at a hotel helping fill out the disclosure document. After we left for New York, subsequent documents were scanned and sent by email or forwarded to us for signature using the DocuSign eSignature program. Even when documents were sent electronically, Ray took the time to call and explain to us the importance of each and why we were signing them. He totally eliminated the intimidation factor posed by the complex and confusing language of multiple real estate, legal and financial documents.
If you want a real estate agent who provides superior customer service, you want Ray. If you want an agent who has an eye for the curb appeal of a house and the marketing savvy to get the house advertised to the widest audience, you want Ray. If you want the best price for your house with the least amount of worry, you want Ray. He is simply the best.

The hardest part of recommending Ray is not sounding like I'm exaggerating. He is everything I could imagine having in a real estate agent and everything I didn't even know I needed until the situations came up. He anticipates and explains every step of the process like a Zen master of real estate; we knew exactly what was going on at every turn and knew what to anticipate. He was assertive and clear with the buyers and sellers with whom we did business so that we got the absolute best terms on our side of transactions, and at the same time, his integrity and professional pride left us no doubt that he was representing us to other parties in the honest, open way we wanted to be represented. To say he went above and beyond is such an understatement! His expert advice not only led to our buying our perfect house, but now that we're living in it, we know exactly what repairs to do, which projects to do first, and which ones not to worry about. I don't know what to say about Ray, other than to hire him right away! We've known him for 8 years--he helped us buy our first house, and this year he helped us sell it and buy another. In addition to all his expertise, he is well connected with mortgage brokers and title companies and ensured that our entire buying process was smooth, which it was! If I ever buy or sell a house again, Ray is the only realtor I'd ever.

Ray does it again! After helping us with purchasing our first home, we turned to Ray again to help us when we needed more space after the arrival of our second son. Ray helped us prepare for the sale or our first home and quickly got us closing on our new home. His expertise in the area made this happen effortlessly in this challenging housing market. And since this was our first sale, Ray was always available with the guidance and information we needed to be comfortable selling our first home. We received multiple offers over our asking price. Through every step and detail, Ray was providing information and presenting us with the choices and options to make decisions on the selling our first home and the purchase of our new home. Ray's reputation as a trustworthy agent and his guidance on the offer for our new home helped us beat out 11 other offers on our new home. We definitely recommend Ray for all of your real estate needs.

Ray helped us every step of the way. He provided guidance in preparing our home to sell to get the best possible sale price. He sold our house at a record price for our neighborhood. He listened carefully to our goals and recommended a path that achieved our desires.
While I hope that nobody has difficulties during the process, we did run into difficulties caused by the buying team. Ray worked hard to make certain that the deal completed within a reasonable amount of time. Ray fought hard for us and made sure that what we wanted came to be.
We could not have asked for a better agent. We are now moving in to our new home and Ray made it happen for us.
I have known Raymond for over 10 years now. We purchased our first home 10 years ago and Raymond was our buyer's agent at that time. We recently sold that house and we were able to find a newer house as our family is bigger now. Raymond was again our seller's and buyer's agent in this very time consuming and labor-intensive process. I won't hesitate to recommend Raymond to anyone. He is super responsive and stays on top of the entire process. There were obviously a few hiccups in our most-recent selling and buying process, but Raymond was usually on top of things right away. I am a high-effort individual, having lived and worked in the intensive Silicon Valley for over a decade as a Director of Software Engineering at a startup. Raymond matched me for effort and hustle as well as knowledge. The Bay Area real estate market is very atypical - fewer homes and lots of buyers with $$ to spend. Raymond was on our team throughout the process. Yes, he made $$ in this process, but he is does so the right way. Raymond is very ethical - very refreshing when you look at this business holistically. I will definitely recommend him and look forward to working with him again at some point in the future.

I am a first-time home owner and purchased my first home with the help of Ray in March 2014. Ray is an excellent, educated, and extremely knowledgeable realtor. This being my first time buying a home, I appreciated that Ray would discuss and explain everything in a way that made it easier to absorb. As you can imagine, doing this for the first time can be very overwhelming and I can say without a doubt that Ray eased the process considerably. He was available anytime I had questions (literally) and went out of his way to work around my busy schedule.
Ray is enthusiastic and always willing to go out of his way. I highly recommend him for any of your real estate needs.
Our family had decided to sell my Grandparents' home this past year, 2016, after the sad passing of my Grandmother. I interviewed 3 Real Estate Agents to decide who would be the Best Real Estate Agent to represent our Family Home. Ray Chavez was one of the Real Estate Agents I interviewed because of our connection on Facebook. I saw he was in Real Estate and messaged him through Facebook for an interview.
I was first impressed by Ray, when he returned my Facebook message right away, even though he was on vacation with his family. During the interview process Ray Chavez had the most professional and thorough presentation. This is why I decided to have Ray represent by Grandparents', which is very precious to my heart.
Throughout the entire Real Estate process Ray was on top of things. He has excellent follow-through, made the process easy, very detailed oriented and always made himself available for questions. Ray kept me informed and no matter what time of day Ray answered his cell phone or called me back within minutes. This showed his passion and dedication to his clients and to the Real Estate field.
I highly recommend Ray Chavez as the Real Estate Agent that gets the job done. He goes over and beyond and he will walk you step by step through the process. Ray made the selling of my Grandparents' Home easy on our family. Thank you Ray for doing such an excellent and Professional Job!!!

We were referred to Ray by a close friend, and listening to their advice to work with him was the best decision we could have made. Ray helped us find and purchase our first house, navigating an increasingly difficult market for buyers. He helped us find a mortgage agent who got us a better loan than our original credit union could offer, and was responsive enough to close the deal in a constantly shifting market.
A couple of years later, he proved once again to be an amazing asset when selling my mother’s house in an even more rapidly moving market that any of us expected. His understanding of how to highlight the strengths of a property showed incredible insight, even in an area where he was not considered an expert. I can attest first hand that he was telling the truth when he said, “I don’t follow comps, I make them.”
When it came time for us to leave California, Ray once again stepped up and made the complicated process of getting a house ready to put on the market (and ultimately selling it) very easy for us. I was already starting a new job in Washington, and Ray handled the details of finding contractors to wrap up the myriad of details needed to prepare the house and stage it. With both my wife and I already out of state, we were able to rest easy knowing that our house was in good hands with him. Ray kept on top of the work being done, checked in on the property regularly, and made sure everything was maintained and presentable when we put the house back on the market.
Ray has the patience and understanding for people new to the process of that is all too often impossible to find these days. His knowledge and skill navigating the fast paced and competitive real estate market around Silicon Valley borders on wizardry. Ray is not only our realtor, but also our friend, and he’s the best friend you could have in the business.

Raymond Chavez is an excellent choice if you are looking for a realtor. He is an outgoing, hard working, dedicated real estate professional. Raymond made us smile constantly during the process of selling our father`s home. It was a stressful time for us but Ray put our minds at ease. I had no doubt that he would sell our home quickly for top dollar and that he would be on top of all the many details along the way. Our home sold in less than a week for way over asking price and exceeded any previous comparable sales.

I was referred to Ray by a good friend. I had been in the market for a home and had been looking off and on for couple of years. Prior to meeting Ray another friend had referred me to an agent with whom it was difficult to communicate and made me feel that I was being unreasonable in my requirements for my home. I finally concluded that she wasn't really interested in representing me so much as making a commission. After a year of bad experiences, I introduced myself to Ray. He promptly made arrangements to meet and talk about my criteria for my new home. Before heading out to begin looking at homes, Ray gave me a 3hr crash course in Real Estate so I felt more confident and informed right away. As a first-time home-buyer I had a lot of questions and Ray answered them and more.
Throughout this home-buying experience Ray was very professional, thorough, and informative. I was impressed with the” Home search organized file” he created for me. Ray and I found a home that I immediately said, “This is IT!” He contacted the listing agent right away and by the following day I was in contract.
I wasn't sure I wanted a home with a pool, I wasn’t looking forward to dealing with the preventive maintenance aspect of it. Once again though Ray came through. He walked me through the steps and even gave a book on pool maintenance which greatly eased my concerns. The day after escrow closed, I met Ray at a local Pool and Spa place and picked out exactly what I needed for the proper pool maintenance. Pool maintenance concerns are now been checked off the list.
I highly recommend Ray, he far EXCEEDED my expectations with his professionalism, thorough approach to understanding and addressing my needs and concerns and the "over and above" attitude which he brings to ensuring peace of mind during the biggest investment decision of your life.
